Algeria partakes Thursday and Friday, via a video-conference, in the 10th Ordinary Session of the Plenipotentiary Conference of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), said the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in a statement.

At this conference Algeria was elected vice-president of the Board of PAPU and representative of the North African region for the period 2021-2025, said the source.

Algeria is present at this meeting with a large delegation headed by Secretary General of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Abderrezak Hani, in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to Harare (Zimbabwe), Nassreddine Saai, in his capacity as Vice President of the delegation.

This conference was preceded by the Shareholder’s meeting of PAPU, from 21 to 23 June, which addressed “the conclusions of the relevant committees that held their meetings from 07 to 09 June 2021.

The Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), whose headquarters is located in Arusha (Tanzania), is a competent body under the African Union (AU), which is responsible for coordinating the development activities of postal services in Africa, concluded the source.
