The Sonatrach group has signed a memorandum of understanding with its Indonesian partner Pertamina to strengthen their strategic collaboration in order to increase their portfolio of activities in Algeria and worldwide, said Monday the national hydrocarbon company in a statement.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Chairman and CEO of Sonatrach, Toufik Hakkar and Chairman and CEO of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, will cover the entire value chain of hydrocarbons, from upstream to downstream, the same source said.

The potential for cooperation would include, among others, existing and/or new projects in upstream, crude oil and LPG supply, renewable energy and research & development, the source added.

“We welcome the signing of this new Memorandum of Understanding, which demonstrates the willingness of both parties to strengthen their existing relationship,” said Hakkar.
